Even if spots are assigned, it may be wise to use one of these tips to hold your spot to prevent resource tiles or infected from spawning while you are away. If no statues or towers are free, players can use their main account or farm account to send one troop marches to camp in their spots. R5/4 can use statues or place unbuilt towers to block spots. Blocking spots also prevent resource tiles and infected from spawning in your spot. If spots are unassigned, players can block their spots to prevent others from taking them when they port. However, if 30+ players are online regularly for the trap, you may wish to assign part of the third row to accommodate all who participate. For example, if only 10-15 players show up regularly, there is little benefit to assigning spots in more than the first two rows. If you choose to assign trap spots, the number of players who regularly come to trap should determine how many rows to assign spots in. Trap spots can be assigned or be “free for all”, depending on the time and effort the alliance leadership team (R5/R4s) is willing and able to put into assigning spots. Optimal influencer trap placement will allow for as many people as possible to be in the first two rows without spots being blocked by obstacles such as alliance resource nodes, mountains, or alliance buildings. Although it can be placed anywhere, it is best to place it in the center of your hive area, where most settlements are located. The trap is the same size as a settlement. The influencer trap can be built in any land your alliance controls, either with an alliance headquarter or a tower. Note: To build or demolish the influencer trap, you must be r5 or r4. Even small alliances with few members can participate in the influencer trap event, as all you need are a minimum of two people online.
It is best to build the trap as soon as it is unlocked with state intel to begin earning rewards. Once the influencer trap is built, if you choose to demolish it, your alliance’s trap level remains, but there is a 10-minute cooldown before you can place the influencer trap again.
